The Republican Accountability Project - a group made up primarily of disgruntled Republicans that are disgusted with where their Party has gone under Trump - released another scathing new anti-Trump ad this week, using the former President's own video clips against him. In the ad, Trump is seen repeatedly boasting about overturning Roe v. Wade with his Supreme Court picks, something that is going to be center stage in this year's election. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses the impact of this new ad.

The Republican accountability Project released yet another scathing ad against Donald Trump. And like the one before it, they just used his own words. They don't have to add really anything to their attack ads against Donald Trump. They just let him do the talking. And this specific ad actually dealt with the comments Trump made this week about abortion. And it included all of his past statements from various events over the last few years where he's boasted about overturning Roe v Wade via his picks for the Supreme Court. So here is this new ad. This is Republicans against Trump, uh, funded by the Republican Accountability Project. Again, these are Republicans who, like the rest of us, can't stand what Donald Trump has done to this country. So here's the ad.
I was able to terminate Roe v. Wade. I was so honored to have done it. Well, I did something that nobody thought was possible. I got rid of Roe v. Wade, Roe v Wade, bringing it back to the states. Many people have asked me what my position is on abortion and abortion rights. The states will determine by vote or legislation or perhaps both, and whatever they decide must be the law of the land, of
The land, of the land, of the land, of the land, of the
Land. Now, obviously they did have to add a little bit, right? I said they just used Trump's own words against him, but they pointed out that more than 33 million women now live in a state where there are no exceptions. Abortion is a hundred percent illegal. And when coupled with the Arizona Supreme Court's decision on abortion this week that upheld the state's draconian law, you've got a big issue on your hands, guys. Like this is massive, a massive problem for Republicans. And you know what else is a problem? At the same time that Republicans are taking so much heat for their abortion stance, which I think is probably gonna end up becoming a massive issue in the 2020 election, I think we're gonna have far more voters motivated by that when the chips are down, as opposed to the economy and everything else. I really think this is like the number one issue now. It truly is. And you had Republican Senator Joni Ernst go in the media this week where she said, quote, I'm a mom, I'm a brand new grandma and I support life and Senate Republicans, the GOP and President Trump really worked hard to overturn Roe v. Wade.
This came at a time when your party is getting hammered on this issue, like literally this week, and you're like, Hey, we did this just in case you forgot we did it. We're the guilty party here. We know everybody hates these decisions. So just remember that was us. Yeah, brilliant messaging there. Ernst. I don't know what these morons are trying to do here, but it's not gonna work. The public is against you on this. Your Republican base is against you on this. Yeah, they thought they wanted it so bad for decades, they were pushing it too. And then they finally get it and realize, oh crap, this is actually really bad. So that's why they've turned against you on this issue. And you're gonna keep bragging about it. You're gonna keep running on it. Trump's gonna keep saying stupid things about it, and I promise you it is going to cost you in November.
